New year and new opportunities
Hey folks! It’s a brand new year and new opportunities await!
I’m a back after a little break. I just needed some time off. I complete lost interest in this site back in the middle of November 2017. My first post was October 3rd 2017. Just 1,5 months and I get kinda burned out. It freaked me out and I think I know what caused it. I did it too much. Many evenings and nights writing posts and even thinking about it when I go to sleep. Some night I even couldn’t sleep because of all theses ideas I had.
But now I’m back. How do I feel?
Feels good man!
The date says February 2nd 2018 and this is the year. This is the year where nice things will happen. I have many great things in store. It’s a brand new year and new opportunities await!
But I’m not one of these mambo jambo cliche guys that dedicates the new year to a new and better life. Take for example fitness – how many people want to start a new and better life in 2018 – like the year before and the year before that. It goes on and on. And it has to be extreme aswell – extreme weight losses. Extreme this and that.
I dont’ believe in that. I believe in slow and steady a little at a time. Not what I did when I launched this site.
I was extreme.
From now on I will focus more on quality content. More of these blog posts and I have to admit it’s kinda therapeutic writing them.
Ok – so I started out as an affiliate marketer when I first lauched this site and oh boy has the learning curve been steep.
It is actually not easy like the majority of the affiliate marketing guru’s out there claim it to be. You just hook up with a hosting company and get you site up and running and sign up as an affiliate with companies. The you make product related articles and link with your affiliate-incorporated links and the money just start pouring it.
What a load of crap. Flat out lies.
If it was easy as they claim it to be then everyone would have done it. I don’t know a single person in real life that does this. I was just the insect that got stuck on the glue paper and I fell for every tip & trick they threw at me.
If you’re trying to help the community and give them “your secret recipe” on how easy it is, do it, but don’t lie to your audience.
I believe in transparency.
What my experience has taught me
From now on I will do it my way.
My way – my rules. In my pace.
Blogging is supposed to be fun – right? Then let’s make it a fun experience. Focusing on the right thing – well, the right thing for me is the things I’m passionate about. One of the things I’m passionate about is getting my ass out of the sofa and smell the fresh air. Another thing I’m passionate is gaming. I love computers and video games, but that is a completely different story and contrary to being outdoors, lol.
The weather has been really bad here in Norway for quite some time. The summer of 2017 was been the wettest summer in many decades and I’ve had no motivation to go on long treks etc. I actually put up a fence on my terrace in May 2017 and I STILL havn’t had the opportunity of dry weather to have it painted. I shake my head every time I see the unpainted fence and laugh a little. Crossing my fingers for nice weather this coming spring / summer.
Patience is a virtue I guess.
2018 and onwards
I am not going to beat a dead horse here – figuratively speaking. The year of 2018, 2019, 2020 and so on will be interesting to say the least. I will try to post at a relaxed interval and post when I feel like and I have something interesting to say. Something constructive.
It’s a brand new year and new opportunities await!
